JR Kyushu is celebrating the 10th anniversary of the cruise train, “Seven Stars in Kyushu,” with a unique event that spans from August 5, 2023, to September 29, 2023. In commemorating this milestone, they are inviting everyone to participate in a special ceremony where attendees will have the chance to ring the “departure bell” at designated stations across Kyushu.
The “departure bell,” traditionally rung upon the train’s departure, will now travel in a symbolic relay throughout Kyushu, reflecting the collective joy and celebration. Moments of participants ringing the bell will be captured and compiled into a special video that will be featured at the 10th-anniversary ceremony.
JR Kyushu welcomes all, with no age restrictions, and simply asks participants to bring their bright smiles and be open to being part of their photos and video recordings. In gratitude, participants will receive a commemorative gift from “Seven Stars.”
