Ronald Mcdonald House Opens At Children’s Hospital in Fukuoka

On Mar. 27 a ceremony was held to commemorate the opening of Fukuoka House, a lodging facility for the family members of patients at the Fukuoka Children’s Hospital in Higashi Ward. The two-story facility, located on the hospital premises, has 16 rooms and a shared living room and kitchen. Family members of patients can stay there for ¥1,000 per person per night. The facility is managed by Tokyo-based Ronald McDonald House Charities Japan, which paid half of the ¥400 million construction cost. The other half was covered by donations.
