The Saga Prefectural Assembly convened a study group with all members present to discuss the safety of the Genkai nuclear power plant with Kyushu Electric Power Vice-President Mamoru Dangami. The assembly members insisted, however, that further study was needed to confirm the potential effects of an earthquake.
