Saga Prefecture became the first of Kyushu’s prefectures to be fully broadband capable at the end of March, according to the prefectural government. The coverage now includes Fuji-cho and other scattered population centers in the mountains, as well as islands in the Sea of Japan. In contrast, the prefecture ranks 41st of 47 prefectures nationwide in the household diffusion rate for broadband as of the end of February.
