A research group at Saga University announced the invention of a new diamond semiconductor. On Apr. 20, Professor Makoto Kasu and his fellow researchers told an online press conference that the group succeeded in improving the durability of what is called ‘ultimate semiconductors.’ Taking advantage of diamond’s tremendous conductivity, their invention is expected to be applied to developments of next-generation communication, such as 6G networks.
