Saga Tamaya, the only department store in Saga Prefecture, announced a revival plan on the 11th, sponsored by Kyoto’s real estate company “Sakura”. The plan includes retaining the Saga Tamaya brand and preserving about 140 jobs. After a 100% capital reduction by January 2024, Sakura will undertake capital increase and repay financial institutions.
