The Silicon Belt Summit Fukuoka 2012 was held in Fukuoka City last week to promote the area as a semiconductor manufacturing base for Kyushu and Asia. About 450 technicians from Japan and overseas attended, and reports were presented on the application of IT to the agriculture and health care sectors. This year’s summit was the tenth, and Lee Yun-u of Samsung in South Korea delivered the keynote address.
