The sixth Fukuoka – Busan Forum for discussions between leaders of business and academia was held on the 3rd in Fukuoka City. The forum’s primary topic was the effect of the Tohoku earthquake in the greater Korean Strait region. It was reported that economic ties between the two countries have grown as a means to offset disaster risk. They also adopted joint efforts to prevent harmful rumors stemming from the Fukushima nuclear accident from damaging business sectors.
