Hana Tour, one of South Korea’s largest travel agencies, is promoting tours of Kyushu by bringing about 100 bloggers on a trip to see it for themselves. The number of South Korean tourists to Japan has fallen off sharply after the Tohoku earthquake, and the company hopes that people will read the bloggers’ accounts and realize conditions in Kyushu are largely unchanged. The three-day tour is financed by organizations that promote Kyushu tourism, and the cities of Fukuoka City, Kumamoto City, and Kagoshima City.
