The new fare implemented on Starflyer’s Kitakyushu-Busan flight in September that enables passengers to take a night flight to Busan (6:20 p.m.) and return the next morning (10:45 a.m.) at prices equivalent to those for a discounted single-day return is attracting customers. The airline came up with the idea when occupancy on the flight slid to 54.0% in August from 82.1% in July. The company said they were surprised at how successful the fare has become, even though they didn’t conduct a special advertising program. Source: Nishinippon Shimbun
