Toyota Motor Kyushu, Inc. and Fukuoka-based startup, Groovenauts, Inc., announced a joint project to develop an AI-based program to improve logistic efficiency. It will apply Groovenauts’s quantum computing to the realm of automotive spare parts logistics, which require careful calculations and flexible planning in loading and routing. Improvements in the efficiency of the freight truck operations are expected to bring solutions to the truck driver shortage and reduce CO2 emissions.
