Tokyo-based Tsukasa Electric, a machine parts manufacturer expanding its operations in China, revealed that it will build an R&D center in Fukuoka City. The company explained there was a high concentration of skilled technicians in the area, and that the location was also close to the Asian mainland. They hope to have 20 people working there by the end of 2013. The company’s mainstay product is small, high-performance motors used in ATMs.
