Yamato’s 28-Ton Cargo Plane Set for 2024 Launch at Kitakyushu Airport

The Yamato Group is set to launch a cargo-only plane in the spring of 2024, which recently arrived at Kitakyushu Airport. This plane can carry up to 28 tons, equivalent to 5-6 large trucks. This initiative is part of the Yamato Group’s efforts to address the 2024 labor regulations on truck drivers’ working hours. Kitakyushu Airport, situated offshore, operates 24 hours and has been selected as the sole destination in Kyushu. The routes will connect Narita and Naha, boosting Kitakyushu City’s focus on becoming a logistics hub. Source: Kitakyushu City / KBC
