Yaskawa Electric of Kitakyushu released its interim report for the current fiscal year that recorded sales of 98.355 billion yen, down 48% from the year-before period. The company also posted a current loss of 98 million yen, following the previous year’s 16.69 billion yen in profit. It was the first time the company suffered revenue and earnings losses together in seven years. Sales were slack for electric motors to the auto industry and for industrial robots.
