Yaskawa Electric of Kitakyushu announced plans to strengthen its operations in China, which it considers to be its most important overseas market. In addition to building a new factory for robot systems in Shanghai, they will also establish in November a separate company to coordinate all their activities in that country. Their objective is to boost sales there to 50 billion yen by next year, from the 42.8 billion yen in sales in FY 2012.
