The Sixth International Scholastic Forum for young Japanese and South Korean researchers met at the Kyushu University campus in Fukuoka City on the 27th and 28th. The forum was part of the events for the Fukuoka-Busan Friendship Year. About 200 researchers in the social sciences attended. Past forums have been held in Seoul and Kyoto, but Fukuoka City was chosen this year to help promote the supra-regional economic sphere developing in Kyushu and the southern Korean Peninsula.
