The Korean dessert cafe, Sulbing, opened Feb. 3 (Fri.) on the B2F floor of Vioro Tenjin, Fukuoka. This is the cafe’s second shop in Japan, following the opening of its shop in Harajuku, Tokyo. Sulbing mainly serves shaved ice, and the most popular flavour is “kinako mochi”, which combines kinako, sliced almonds and mochi (rice flour cake) on top of the shaved ice. Also recommended is the “Amaou cake”, made from Fukuokan Amaou strawberries and only served in Japan. The cake is limited to only 10 servings a day between 2/3 ~ 2/10. Originally from Busan, Korea, Sulbing Tenjin can be directly accessed from Tenjin Chikagai. The cafe had a modern and spacious design, with an open front and old-school filament bulbs hanging from the ceiling.
