Music and film buffs love Petrol Blue, a tiny bar hidden among the jumble of hair salons and select shops in Daimyo. Sit at the counter or one of the comfy sofas and enjoy the sound of hip-hop, jazz and indie rock LPs coming from the JBL speakers. You won’t find any shaken cocktails here, so choose from the modest selection of craft beers and liquors, including Shiga Kogen’s IPA or Tatsumi Distillery’s craft gin—the latter of which is not widely available. For a snack, try the not-too-sweet gateau chocolat or the fish croquette.
