On Jul. 4, JR Kyushu announced that, for the first time since the Kumamoto earthquakes earlier this year, the full number of Shinkansen are running between Hakata Sta. and Kagoshima Chuo Sta. All lines were suspended from Apr. 14 to Apr. 27 (due to derailment from foreshock). From Apr. 27 to Jun. 6 they were limited to 114 trains (going both ways). From Jun. 6, 120 trains have operated per day, but now they are back to 125 trains per day (going both ways). The route between Kumamoto Sta. and Shin-Yatsushiro Sta. is still running at reduced speeds with a six minute delay. It is hoped that planned works will bring this route back to full strength within the year. Source: Mainichi Shimbun, 7/4
