Rethink Cafe with Ploom Tech Opens in Tenjin

Nishitetsu Plaza is collaborating with Japan Tobacco (JT) to open the Rethink Cafe with Ploom Tech, a smoke-free cafe that both smokers and non-smokers can enjoy. The cafe opens in Nishitetsu Fukuoka (Tenjin) Sta. on Mar. 16. Managing rights are owned by Nishitetsu Plaza, but Transit General Office, the same company that is producing Bills (popular Australian breakfast restaurant), is managing production. The cafe, which seats 50, offers food and drink including hamburgers (like their All Day Standard Burger), french fries, pancakes, hand-dripped coffee, beer and original cocktails, as well as Ploom Tech, JT’s line of tobacco vaporizers. The cafe is non-smoking except for these vaporizers, with the idea that the smokeless vaporizers allow smokers and non-smokers alike to relax, eat and drink in a smoke-free environment. This project is the first of its kind in Japan. The cafe will also sell Ploom Tech vaporizers and tobacco capsules, as well as products limited to the cafe such as tumblers, coffee beans and tote bags. Source: Nishitetsu press release, March 4
