Lunch Featuring Kyushu Farm-fresh Produce

The Market F, the spacious main dining area at the luxurious five-star Grand Hyatt Fukuoka, serves dishes made with select ingredients from around Kyushu. With the weather warming up in Fukuoka, the Market F is now offering an early summer lunch special with dishes featuring a variety of fresh Kyushu-grown tomatoes.

As an appetizer, you can start with an assortment of fresh tomatoes or try the ratatouille, made with Hakata eggplant, locally grown onions and zucchini, and of course, Fukuoka tomatoes. You can also try the platter of grilled Kagoshima okra and Kumamoto burdock root. Naturally, the meat and fish are also sourced from Kyushu. The chicken terrine is made with the flavorful Higo Umaka Akadori from Kumamoto and comes topped with fruit sauce. Meanwhile, the grilled Hakata eggplant with minced Hakata Wagyu beef is seasoned with balsamic vinegar and honey. The simple yet elegant preparation brings out the best of Kyushu’s seasonal ingredients, and because the appetizers are served buffet style, you can always go back for more.

For your main entree, you can choose from meat, fish or pasta. The signature dish is the Market Grill, which features rice-fed Hakata Wagyu beef, yellowback sea bream from the Genkai Sea and Itoshima pork, all grilled to perfection over charcoal.

You also can’t go wrong with the pasta, which is chock full of sweet, juicy Satsuma Amaterasu fruit tomatoes from Kagoshima and mozzarella cheese.
