The Artium art gallery will host a fascinating exhibition of minerals this December and January. The Kyushu University Museum have carefully selected approximately 100 items for the displays, including stones from the seabed, meteorites from outer space, and rocks that have been around for billions of years. The composer Marihiko Hara has created music for the exhibition that draws inspiration from the minerals featured. The mysterious sounds do not fit into standard musical staff notations, but will provide a wonderfully nostalgic setting for the exhibition!
