Since 1995, “La semaine de la Francophonie” has provided the opportunity for French-speaking countries around the world to organize special annual events in celebration of the French language, French-speaking countries and their cultures. Around one thousand events happen worldwide, including in Japan, where the French Institutes host special activities. This year, French Institut of Fukuoka is putting Switzerland under the spotlight with two events in March. Popular Swiss comic artist from Geneva, Frederick Peeters, will give a conference at the Kitakyushu Manga Museum on March 21 (Thu.) Everyone is warmly invited to attend this great cross-cultural event.
