Fukuoka City is popular for its easy access to delicious and fresh food. An annual event is held to exhibit and sell rice, vegetables, eggs, meat, dairy products, and processed marine products grown in the city. Karatomari Ebisu oysters, which are in season now, grilled turban shells, miso-flavored shiratama dumplings, and kashiwa (chicken) rice can be enjoyed at the food and beverage corner. There will also be a wooden toy corner for children to play with, Japanese drums, and dance performances.
The monthly Nagahama Fish Market Citizen’s Day will also be held at the same time. (9:00~12:00) The popular tuna dismantling show and sale, fresh fish sales, and fish-handling classes will be held.
