Hakata River Kawadoko Event

Spend an autumn afternoon or evening by the Hakata River at this limited-time kawadoko, a traditional-style platform set up beside the water for eating, drinking, and relaxing outdoors. Lanterns and bamboo lights create a warm glow along the waterfront, while visitors can enjoy food and drinks together with traditional performing arts, live performances, and music.
Set along the river near Kawabata Shopping Arcade, the event offers a relaxed way to experience Hakata as the light changes from day to evening.
