Hakata Traditional Craft Center Appreciation Festival 2026
~
The Hakata Traditional Craft Center, which showcases traditional crafts associated with Fukuoka and Hakata, including Hakataori textiles and Hakata dolls, holds its annual appreciation festival. During the event, nine types of traditional crafts will be exhibited and sold, including Hakata papier-mache, Imajuku dolls, Koishiwara ware, and Yame lanterns.
On Oct. 24 and 25, hands-on craft workshops will also be held at the plaza in front of Hakata Sennen-no-Mon Gate. Visitors can experience the materials and techniques of local artisans firsthand by making traditional crafts themselves.
