Isla de Salsa, Fukuoka’s largest cultural exchange outdoor festival, will once again be held on Nokonoshima Island this year. Organized by the Latin Cultural Center Tiempo since its establishment in 1997, this annual summer international event is celebrating its 25th anniversary. Attendees can enjoy a wealth of music, dance, multicultural cuisine, and cross-cultural exchange on this resort island, accessible by ferry from the urban area of Fukuoka.

The two-day live stage, set in an open-air venue with impressive acoustics, features a diverse lineup of musicians and dancers from both Japan and abroad. Headlining the event is the world-renowned salsa orchestra “Orquesta De La Luz,” celebrating their 40th anniversary.
