The Wakato Ohashi Bridge (627m), a suspension bridge with a red frame, was the longest in the East when it opened in 1962. The “Niagara Falls” fireworks display will be held on this symbol of the area and other representative fireworks displays of Kitakyushu. For this event, vessels passing through Dokai Bay will be stopped and large fireworks will be launched from a fireworks barge floating in the middle of the bay. The location of the fireworks display at sea and the shower of light that falls on Dokai Bay is breathtakingly beautiful.
