Maizuru Park, an oasis of tranquility nestled around the historic remnants of Fukuoka Castle, boasts a stunning plum grove with approximately 250 diverse varieties of plum trees. As early February, these trees burst into a vibrant display of blossoms, filling the air with their sweet, enchanting fragrance. The park becomes a bustling hub for enthusiasts indulging in leisurely strolls and photography. Commencing in early February, especially on bright, sunny days, the park offers an added charm with benches adorned with red mats, inviting visitors to sit back and immerse themselves in the serene beauty of the blossoms. The annual Plum Festival will be held on Saturday, February 14, and Sunday, February 15. The event will feature food trucks, market stalls.
