Hakata Hyakunen-gura, the only active sake brewery remaining in Hakata, opens its doors for its annual brewery event. Sake enthusiasts gather to enjoy freshly brewed new sake, seasonal limited-edition varieties, sparkling sake, and exclusive brews available only during the event. Popular sake tasting tickets (¥1,200 for 10 samples) offer great value. Visitors can also enjoy free amazake, as well as sake manju, tempura kamaboko, simmered dishes, and more. Held in a historic brewery designated as a Registered Tangible Cultural Property, it’s a perfect opportunity to savor the flavors of Hakata sake in a charming setting.
