This shrine, dedicated to Orihime, is a rare and historically significant site in Japan. Across the Homan River lies Oimatsu Shrine, which honors Kengyu, mirroring the Tanabata legend of Orihime and Hikoboshi, separated by the Milky Way and allowed to meet only once a year on Tanabata. On the 6th and 7th, the shrine grounds are adorned with Tanabata decorations, festival lanterns, and colorful tanzaku (wish strips) from all over the country. In the evening, the area comes alive with food stalls and stage events.
