Sir Terence Conran (1931–2020) transformed British lifestyle and food culture, influencing everything from personal living spaces to urban and social design. A pioneering force in the design industry, he published influential books on lifestyle, founded the world’s first design museum, and introduced his vision to Japan through The Conran Shop. This exhibition brings together over 300 items, including early designs such as tableware, textiles, and furniture, as well as personal belongings, books, photographs, and films that shaped his creative process. It traces his journey from a teenage designer to a visionary entrepreneur who reshaped everyday life through design. Following its debut in Tokyo, the Fukuoka edition reimagines the exhibition within the dynamic spaces of the Fukuoka Art Museum, offering a fresh perspective on Conran’s enduring impact.
