The Sumiyoshi Shrine, long revered as a place where people pray for safety during overseas travel, will host an open-air market with an international exchange theme. About 40 distinct shops, featuring a wide array of goods and gourmet foods from countries including Africa, South America, Europe, and Asia, will be arranged along the lush pathway leading to the shrine.
Among the food stalls that will garner attention are “Osuasiri,” a Sri Lankan restaurant; “Mana Kebab,” serving Turkish ice cream and kebabs; and “Miss Saigon,” specializing in Vietnamese cuisine. Many local businesses and foreign residents will also set up stalls, fostering a lively exchange of ideas, culture, and experiences – a key highlight of the event.
A comprehensive list of exhibitors can be found on the official event website. This market is not only an opportunity for culinary adventure, but also a chance to enjoy the rich cultural diversity that makes this event a unique experience.
