Located on the chic and shady Keyaki-dori avenue, & Locals brings the cuisine and culture of Japan’s rural areas to the city with foods sourced directly from the producers. The main draw is the inari sushi rice stuffed in fried tofu. The shop makes four kinds, but the most popular jitensha inari uses seasoned vinegared rice with dried baby sardines, a specialty of Unzen in Nagasaki. The inari are made by hand every morning, but some days they sell out as early as 3 p.m. If you choose to eat in, you can also order a set with either green tea or miso soup.
Menu: Inari w/ Chikusuien green tea ¥500, Japanese tea to go (Yame green tea, lemongrass green tea, roasted green tea or Japanese black tea) ¥200, miso soup to go ¥250, inari ¥130~
