Open from morning till midnight, Shirouzu Coffee, on Kego Hondori, is a shop on the vanguard of the local coffee scene that offers coffee roasted in house. The carefully selected beans are roasted at the main shop in Minato. “We use siphons to bring out the characteristic flavors of each bean, from the standards to the unique varieties,” says owner Kazutoshi Shirouzu. As for eats, try the made-to-order pancakes or the coffee jelly. At night, you can also enjoy homemade coffee shochu. Local artist Ken designed the carp and mermaid images that appear on the walls and also on the coffee mugs that are available for purchase.
