July 2008 got off to a rocking start in Fukuoka with the annual Canada Day Party hosted by Fukuoka Now at Sam & Dave, in Tenjin. The party featured a solid and 100% Canadian music playlist and lots of Canadian beer in a room well covered with Canadian flags. J.C. Bouvier, organizer of the CM World Festival, stopped by and showed a sneak-peak preview of award winning television commercials, including several Canadian ones. By midnight, 275 guests showed up. O Canada!
