Behind Maca is “Gorda” a huge paper mache sculpture that she made for the Isla de Salsa event in 2003. It now serves as an eye-catching maneki neko for El Taller in Akasaka where she teaches drawing, paper object making, and sculpture. Although she studied art formally, her teaching style at Tiempo Iberoamericano – El Taller is very hands on. There she helps students create art they hardly dare to imagine. 2F Able Akasaka, 1-5-2 Akasaka, Chuo-ku. Tel: 722-1650
