Fukuoka City-based Farmstore, a trading company formed by Fukuoka Prefecture, regional agricultural groups, and local businesses, has started exporting the prefecture’s amaou strawberries to Hong Kong. It is the company’s second export site for the fruit, and they hope to expand exports to China and Southeast Asia in the future. They plan to ship a total of 15 tons a week to Hong Kong until next April.
