Ritsumeikan Asia Pacific University (APU) in Beppu, Oita Prefecture, welcomed 1,133 new students from 60 countries and regions for its “second founding.” The newly established Department of Sustainability and Tourism was also launched. APU aims to contribute to the creation of a sustainable society by strengthening its existing two departments, Asia Pacific Studies and International Management, and cultivating talented individuals.
