The Kyushu Transport Bureau announced statistics for the volume of goods unloaded at 23 designated ports in Kyushu and Yamaguchi Prefecture in FY 2010 climbed 14.6% from the previous year to 180.32 million tons. It was the first increase in three years. The impetus for the increase was the growth of the Chinese economy and the import and export of autos and automobile parts.
