The Fukuoka Branch of Teikoku Data Bank released its revenue rankings for Kyushu/Okinawa juku and prep schools in 2009. The survey showed the leader by far was Fukuoka City-based Eishinkan, with 8.283 billion yen in income. In second place was Zenkyoken, also of Fukuoka City, with 3.799 billion yen in income. The 130 companies in the region operating schools of this type had an aggregate income of 46.492 billion yen.
