First Use of Fukuoka’s Ramen Wheat Scheduled


The Fukuoka-based ramen chain store operation Ichiran announced that its Nakasukawabata shop would be the first in the region to sell ramen using noodles made from wheat Fukuoka Prefecture specially developed for that purpose. The first day of sale will be November 9. Though ramen in Japan was first made in Fukuoka Prefecture, most of the wheat for the ramen sold there is grown overseas.
