Fujifilm said it would launch a new production line in the plant of its Kyushu subsidiary to boost production of the film to protect polarizing plates used in the panels of liquid crystal televisions. They plan to invest about 16 billion yen and start operations in December 2012. They also plan to hire an additional 50 people to run the line.
