The Fukuoka Bank has reached an agreement with the Nishi-Nippon Railroad (Nishitetsu) to integrate the bank’s arecore cash card, which also functions as a credit card, with Nishitetsu’s contactless payment card nimoca. The new card could be used for ATM withdrawals, bus and train fare payments, and purchases at retail outlets. Applications for the card will be accepted starting on the 20th of this month. The bank says it is the first type of this sort of card integration in Japan.
