Fukuoka Motor Show 2015 Organizing Committee, which comprises officials from Fukuoka Prefecture and 53 automobile-related companies and organizations, held its first meeting on Aug. 6 and announced that this year’s event will be held Dec. 18~21. The committee decided to expand free admission to students of high school age (last year junior high schoolers and under were free) in an effort to get more young people interested in cars. This will be the fifth installation of the Motor Show and the aim is to attract 150,000 visitors and break last year’s record of 147,000. The event will span three venues, Fukuoka Marine Messe, Fukuoka International Congress Center and Fukuoka Kokusai Center, and tickets will cost ¥1,200. Tickets are slated to go on sale in early September. Source: Nishinippon Shimbun 8/11
