Discount airline Jeju Air of South Korea plans to increase from three to four the number of round-trip flights it operates between Kitakyushu and Seoul. They plan to add the fourth flight at the end of December. The additional flight is being added because they anticipate an increase in tourism from South Korea to Kyushu. The new flight will be on Mondays, which will enable South Koreans to use the full weekend for two-night, three-day tours. The airline added a Monday flight once before in August 2009, but cancelled it in January this year because of low passenger totals, which they attributed to concerns over the flu epidemic and other factors.
