The Ministry of Education released statistics on the prospective college graduates with job offers in Kyushu and Okinawa Prefecture as of February 1. The percentage of those who received offers in the region stood at 70.5%, a decline of 4.7 percentage points from the previous year, and the lowest since statistics began being kept in 1999. It was also the lowest percentage of the six blocs nationwide. The national percentage was also a record low 77%.
