The city of Karatsu and Kyushu University signed an agreement to jointly pursue research in the cultivation of conger eels and mackerel. The objective is to promote the fisheries industry in the area. They will study the technology for aquafarming at a center to be completed next year and provide the results to local businesses and fishermen.
