Kyushu National Museum recently surpassed 15 million visitors. The facility, which opened in October 2005, reached the landmark on August 18, and a small ceremony was held to celebrate the occasion. The milestone was reached during the visit of a young family who visited the museum for the first time, having only recently moved to Fukuoka from Tokyo. Source: Asahi Shimbun, 8/20/2017
