The Kyushu National Museum in Dazaifu, Fukuoka Prefecture, is already busy with preparations for its first overseas exhibit, which will be held in the Bangkok National Museum in Thailand in 2011. As part of the preparations, the two museums agreed in November to hold joint exhibits with personnel from both institutions in the meantime. While other Japanese national museums have sponsored overseas exhibits, few of them are joint events planned in conjunction with the partner museum.
